He’s
a good laddie. I never see him. I wish I did.
The living room was pitch black. He pulled
his legs off the couch and unzipped the sleeping bag. Although he was still
dressed, he started to shiver immediately. No heating, he’d had the gas cut
off. He was thinking about doing the same with the electricity, but that would
have to wait. Scotland was about to shut down for two days. Out with the old
and in with the new. But what if someone wanted to see the house? Wouldn’t they
need electricity? He had no idea how these things worked.
