Greek investigative journalist, Kostas Vaxevanis, has been found not guilty of breaching personal data laws in his magazine, Hot Doc. This is a triumph for freedom of the press, of course, although it is worth noting that the trial suffered from a complete blackout in the mainstream Greek media. Something else is worth mentioning. In Greece, legal proceedings famously drag on for years. Vaxevanis was arrested and brought to trial in four days. Go, as they say, figure.
